Hazel's POV
I did not want to feel the satisfaction and thrill I was feeling at hearing the Alpha’s words, but I felt them nonetheless. That didn’t mean I had forgotten what he’d said, but I couldn’t help the smile that came into my face at that declaration. I hadn’t been expecting that speech, and neither had I been expecting the next action of the Luna.
She rushed to take the night lamp from its seat on the bedside table and flung it at the Alpha. He wasn’t quick to dodge it, so it caught him square on the forehead.
“You threw that at me, Dizane? For the second time, you flung an object at me?”
His words were filled with wrath. Then I caught sight of the bleeding nick just a little bit above his right eyebrow. For some strange reason, anger seized my body, and in a flash, I had Luna struggling to release herself from my hold on her neck.
