Chapter 131

Hazel's POV

"Hailen!" I screamed in joy, not minding that someone could have heard me all the way down the long hallway. I engulfed her in a very tight hug, and she wrapped her arms around me too in a warm embrace. We had obviously missed each other.

"I have missed you so much, Hazel." Her voice was filled with happiness. I could hear it; it was very intoxicating to know she had missed me and hadn’t shied from telling me genuinely.

"I’ve missed you too."

"I’m so glad that you’re back and finally safe."

As she pulled back to study me, her forehead creased into a frown as she saw the fading marks jaggedly adorning my arms.

"It’s a long story, Hailen, and it’s not one I can tell you here. Come, let’s go in."

Then I stopped her as I remembered that the Alpha was lying shirtless in my room.

"Uhm, can you give me a moment?"

"What’s wrong? Hiding something dirty?"

She had on a small smile to show she was teasing.<
