Miran’s POV

It had surprised me when one of the prison guards had discreetly asked me to meet him outside the pack house, in a very secluded area around the back of the manor. I was still in the room with my brother when he’d appeared but had kept his presence hidden from my brother’s view. I had been befuddled by his presence there and had almost wanted to call him out, but the word or rather name he had mouthed made me jump on my feet.

He had said Ragel. That was all the motivation I needed to move along and go meet him where he pointed. It had been kind of hard understanding his silent description, but I’d gotten it and left just as my brother was turning to ask who I was mouthing to.
