Chapter 59

Hazel's POV

"So whose turn is it?" she asked me, returning to her sane, normal self once again.

I surreptitiously looked out the window, hoping Alpha Lokris wouldn’t see her here; that would certainly spell trouble for both of us. I still needed to know more from her, and I fervently hoped the Alpha wouldn’t disrupt this unplanned meeting with his formidable presence.

"Me too, Hazel. Because with the way she’s going, I fear there’s more to be said."

I totally agreed with her, and that’s why I was hoping the Alpha and his unwelcome whip didn’t make it to the front door. Meaidan found her way out. And that should only happen after I've heard all there is to hear, not before.

"It’s yours," I replied.

She looked at me like she didn’t think that was possible. Then she nodded.

"Yes, it is my turn."

"If that isn’t weird, then I don’t know what is," Lia whispered from her place in my head.

"How did you get to this land?
