Chapter 61
"So what next do you want us to talk about?"
She was sounding as if she had resigned herself to being here and couldn’t wait to get over the question game and get out of here.
"It’s my turn," I asked.
"I guess. Though it doesn't matter whose turn it is any longer. You seem more drawn towards this communication as a part of building friendship, so let’s get on with it."
I pretended to be offended, topping it up with some pouty looks. I guess I looked comical because she ended up snorting in laughter and covering her mouth when she discovered she was laughing out loud.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a shadow looming, darkening the window. With my index finger on my lips, I signaled her to shut up. She quieted down immediately and followed the direction of my hand.
She saw the figure too, and she quickly went to the bathroom to hide.
