I came out of the bathroom and walked into the bedroom. I saw the neatly folded pile of clothes on the bed. I almost wept in gratitude. Finally, a new gown and fresh undergarments. Mama Mia was such a wonderful woman; bless her kind heart.
The wounds on my back and arms were tender, but I felt they were already better. I picked up the clothes and wore the undergarments first. When I picked up the gown and unfolded it, I saw that it had an open back. I was careful so my wet hair wouldn’t drip water on it. It was a mustard dress with white frills at the waistline and hem. The material was soft and comfortable. I stepped into it and drew it up on my body. With some effort, seeing as my back still hurt, I zipped it.
