For years, I hadn’t seen Auntie Lia, and whenever I asked Auntie Mia, she’d make up one story or another for me. I took it, knowing I was never going to get more than I had been given. What were those two same-designed bracelets of my aunt and the human girl doing in a house I had never seen before? I didn’t even know that house existed. From the look of things, the only thing I had been able to garner was that the human girl had lied to me. She and Auntie Lia had some sort of connection. That particular information had caused me great unrest. I couldn’t even sleep last night.
