Chapter 61. Worrying about Winona
Richard’s howl was followed by other howls. The werewolves, who were still under Richard’s control, wailed too, regretting their stupidity for not realizing that Martin had planned all of this. Richard wanted to chase Winona and the vampires, but he didn’t because he wouldn’t be able to catch them. From the darkness came the sounds of the vampires laughing triumphantly, and Martin was gone with them.
“Damn it!” Richard cursed as he returned to his human form. The werewolves followed Richard, returning to their human forms.
“Martin…” Raven muttered.
“Come with me to my office, Raven,” Richard said. He tried to speak calmly, but his eyes were still shining with anger. Richard turned and walked quickly back into his house and his office. He couldn’t deny that in his heart, there was a very tortuous feeling. Richard was not calm. What if something really happened to Winona? Richard did not dare to imagine.
