Chapter 69. Vampire Castle
He had not been seen since earlier, but he certainly had a hand in it. Juan couldn’t be this smart. If it was the real Juan, he would have immediately performed the ritual and led Winona into the open courtyard, but no, they didn’t do that.
“You saw Juan?” asked Richard after biting the head of one of the vampires who had attacked him.
“I did not see him. Martin isn’t there either, but I can smell his body,” Raven replied.
“Shit!” he cried.
He was not prepared for this. Martin was smarter than he thought. Martin used to be his best advisor because of his intelligence and his experience far beyond Richard’s. But this time, Martin really betrayed him. He didn’t even know why Martin did this. For hundreds of years, he was loyal, but now he really wanted to kill Richard.
“We can’t stay here forever. They are like ants that keep popping out of the ground,” Raven said while looking at many of her werewolf members who were quite badly injured.
