Chapter 77. The Diamond Ritual Again

Richard sighed in annoyance. This was the first time he had met a woman like Winona.

“I want to talk. Tonight, I will perform the ritual to transfer your power into diamonds again. This time we will succeed, I already have a plan. I’ll be waiting for you in the backyard in ten minutes. If you don’t come down, I’ll drag you down, got it?” he asked.

“That means I won’t be a mermaid anymore?” Winona asked.

The question was so unexpected that Richard paused for a second.

“Of course,” said Richard.

“Then come on! Let’s do it now!” cried Winona excitedly as she stood up.

Winona smiled. She had almost forgotten that her mermaid powers could be removed by being transferred to a diamond stone. That way, Richard had no more reason to refuse. She wouldn’t be a sea creature anymore after the diamond contained all her strength. Richard would have no reason to be disgusted, would he? Winona was so excited that she approached Richard.

“Come on! Why are you
