“That’s still too much,” Richard replied.

“I know, sir. That’s why I haven’t reported anything yet because I still have to purge it,” Raven said while lowering her head, feeling embarrassed that she hadn’t come to light in so long.

After the shrewd Martin’s departure, Richard’s group had yet to find someone new to replace him. Even though Raven was Beta, while Martin used to be just a Gamma, Martin was indeed very smart. Now, maybe Martin was given a higher position in the new werewolf group. Could that be one of the motivations? Because in Richard’s group, for hundreds of years, Martin had only held the position of Gamma. Perhaps what Donna said wasn’t enough.
