Chapter 30. New Friends

Selena smiled at Isabel and then walked out of the luxurious house towards the main gate. There, the taxi she had ordered was waiting.

The journey took two hours due to heavy traffic, but Selena finally arrived at her destination. She had to pay $400 for the taxi.

"Thank you, sir," Selena said as she exited the taxi.

Selena's lips formed a wide smile as she reached her destination. "It's been so long since I've been here."

She entered the place. "I missed the scent of this convenience store!" Selena exclaimed enthusiastically.

Selena had returned to her former workplace. She carefully inspected the convenience store and noticed that not much had changed except for the staff. Selena glanced at the cashier who was on duty, a tall and slender man.

"It seems the boss hasn't arrived yet," Selena remarked while checking the clock inside the convenience store.
