Chapter 29. Go at Night

Ding. The elevator doors opened. Mr. Zidant stepped out of the elevator, with Selena following him. It wasn't just the two of them who exited the elevator, but also Doctor Emly, who stood beside Zidant.

While Selena was quietly following Mr. Zidant without engaging in their conversation, she overheard their conversation in the elevator. Selena concluded that the two of them must be childhood friends.

"No wonder they seem close. They must have known each other for years," Selena thought to herself.

Selena continued to follow their steps. Suddenly, her head seemed to hit something hard, causing her to rub her head and inspect what had caused the pain.

"Not a wall, but Mr. Zidant's back. His back is incredibly strong, like a wall," Selena remarked.

Realizing what she had said, Selena quickly lowered her head. "I apologize."

"Don't be so cold to Selena. How will Selena feel comfortable around you, Zidant?" The one speaking was Emly.

"Get in the car!" Z
