Chapter 24. The Offer

I needed to get out of here before this thing escalates, I immediately thought. My mind running wild.

My eyes darted to where my keys were once again as a plan formulated in my head.

I discreetly tightened the belt of my robe as I waited for him to advance closer.

“What happened, suga,” he leered, his tongue running along the edges of his teeth suggestively. “The cat's got your tongue?”

I held my breath using my eyes to track his every movement closely, my heart pounding fiercely behind my ribs.
