Chapter 31. A Couple's Fight

I can't breathe.

This conversation wasn't going in the direction that I had intended.

Damien shifted another fraction closer until our lower bodies were nearly fused together. His head came down a little bit more and he stared intently into my eyes.

“You do understand what I'm saying, don't you, bunny?” he asked, his voice a low raspy sound.

I gulped and gave him a silent nod. I didn't trust myself to speak around him anymore.

He drew back with a self-satisfied smirk. “Good.” he slipped his hands into his pockets and I forced myself to keep my gaze on his face and not let it waver to his crotch which I already knew was quite impressive.

“Do you have any other clause that needs to be renegotiated?” he inquired.

I shook my head.

He stared at me for some time before he grabbed hold of my wrist making my breath hitch in my throat. “Com'on, we had better head back inside,” he said.
