Chapter 27. Unexpected Vacation

I opened the door to my room but paused midway when I spotted Gwen sitting on my bed with her arms crossed under her boobs.

I walked into the room and strode to where my hair dryer was plugged in.

“What are you doing in my room, Gwen? I hope you are not here for a ‘sleepover’ 'cause you're a terrible sleeper,” I said as I carefully unwrapped the towel wrapped around my head and my semi-wet hair fell to my shoulders.

“I'm just here to confirm some things that you happened to have told me earlier,” she stated calmly with her eyes tracking my every movement.

“Oh. Kay, shoot,” I told her as I switched on the dryer, and a gentle whirring sound was generated from the handy equipment.

“You told me you conceded to Heron's offer,” she said. “But why am I finding that so hard to believe?”

I groaned and switched off the dryer. “Are we still on this subject? I thought we had moved past that already.”

“You are hiding something, woman.”
