Chapter 35. He Killed Willow
**DAMIEN**
Fuming, I stormed to the only place I knew I would find solace and quiet.
My late father's study.
Being here, surrounded by articles that reminded me of him was the perfect place for me to recollect my thoughts and think straight.
Slamming the door behind me, I walked into the dimly lit room and strode to his large mahogany desk before I settled down on his chair.
Exhaling, I squeezed my eyes shut and leaned back as memories slammed into my head all at once.
I remembered her cute little nose, her dimpled cheek, and her toothless smile. Even at a young age, Willow had been such a brilliant child who could recognize people by their voices. And she had recognized me, her father.
But I was unable to protect nor save her… I wasn't there when she needed me.
I dropped my head into my hands as I felt the familiar weight of my guilt bearing down on my chest.
