Chapter 136. Exhausting Visits

I think it’s safe to say I’ve been to New York more than enough for the rest of my life. The only thing worse than all of that was the trip back, which made me sick and him nervous all over again.

It had been a strange, hard, and very upsetting weekend. But I’d never felt closer to him. Things between us felt great, which surprised me because the last two times we were there, we left very angry.

This time, when we got home, we both went straight to my bed and fell asleep. Nash almost never slept in that house. The only time he did was the night he used me as a cover. Even so, we stayed up later and talked until he fell asleep.

Traveling wasn’t relaxing either, and that whole weekend was a huge source of stress for both of us.

Tomorrow was Valentine’s Day, which I had totally forgotten about. That’s what happens when you don’t celebrate it.
