Chapter 94. Secrets and Desire

"Chloe, how did your Thanksgiving go?" Asher asks from the couch, and I start to get very red in the face. Tuesday night, before going to work, I was making dinner. Everyone was back from holiday, tests were coming up soon, and I couldn’t wait for the term to be over.

"It all went well." When I answer, I press my lips together. I cut up a tomato for my quick salad while thinking about all the good times I’ve had in the past.

"Oh my god, just look at that face!" Caleb makes fun. "What happened?"

"Nothing." I shrug.

There was, in fact, a lot going on. Nash was trying to move things along quickly so we could start dating. He had been working with the tech guy he had found this afternoon, and he showed me what he thought would happen and how he thought it would work.
