Chapter 121. A Sigh of Relief

I froze, my hands clutching the warm cup of tea as I felt his piercing gaze burn into me. It was clear, that he was not just taken aback, he was annoyed by my presence. 

The warmth I had just begun to feel vanished, replaced by a cold, familiar sense of not belonging.
