Chapter 131. The Neighbor

I stood there, at the door. My heart was thumping in my chest and I knew within myself that I had messed up. 

“No,” I replied, trying my best to lie.

“No…? You’re her, you’re all over the news,” he said, chuckling to himself in disbelief. “Why are you here? What are you doing in May’s and Alan’s house? Do they even know?”

“I’m sorry but I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I replied before proceeding to close the door even though he was still talking. 

He tried to stop me but I would not allow it. I closed the door as fast as I could and locked it. My heart was thundering in my chest and my breathing had escalated. 

I cursed under my breath as I ran my hand through my hair in frustration. I really did not want anyone to know where I was, I was not ready for that.

With that guy out there knowing, I had a strong feeling everyone was going to know soon. I cursed again and sighed.
