Chapter 153. Exhaustion

I kept walking and walking, lost in my thoughts. I was thinking about how I was going to make this work. I was thinking about how I was going to be able to understand all of this and work through it all within just a day or two more. 

I had no time left. Now, not only did I have to be worried about Darco’s wrath when he found out that I had lied about shifting on the full moon, but I also had to worry about the fact that the dance that I had decided to perform to help me shift could kill me…just by even learning it. 

I know, nothing comes easy. But still…I feel like there could have been a better way. 

But there was no going back, was there? I was already in the hole that I had dug, I had no choice now but to fight to get out of it without losing my life. 

I did not even know that I had reached the mansion because I had been so stuck in my mind. It was when one of the guards helped me by opening up the small gate. “It’s pretty late, are you okay?
