Chapter 159. Hatred and Pity

I stood there, tears filling my eyes till they blinded my vision for a few seconds. I swallowed the knot that was in my throat but it just did not seem to be going down. 

I blinked and the tears that were in my eyes flowed out smoothly. I used the back of my hand to wipe them away as quickly as I could before looking back at the guy with a straight face, trying to show that I was not weak, but was stronger than he thought that I was—stronger than I was feeling right now. 

“Are you crying?” He scoffed, mocking me. “Are you seriously crying? Do you think that you’re a baby? You’re eighteen! You’re eighteen years old, Rue! You don’t get to cry every time that you get your feelings hurt! I thought omegas are supposed to be stronger?” He chuckled and shook his head. 

The knot in my throat was getting bigger. His words just kept making things worse. More tears filled my eyes and I just could not take it anymore. I needed to leave. I turned on my heels and rushed
