Chapter 203. My White Wolf

I sat on the bed and tried my best to ignore the pit in my stomach. My chest felt tight and my throat felt like it was closing up. I took in deep breaths to try to help but it just seemed to make it worse. 

I needed help. I tried to speak but no words came out and I could feel my heart pounding so hard in my chest. I stood up from the bed and rushed to the bathroom. It was nice, I mean, not in comparison to how Darco’s or Zach’s bathrooms looked but it was okay. 

I stood in front of the mirror, opening the faucet as fast as I could and making sure to splash some cold water on my face to help. And in that moment, it helped. It really did. My mind slowed down and soon, my heart followed its lead. 

I felt like I could breathe better now. I closed the faucet and stared at my reflection, water dripping from my face and a few strands of my hair wet.
