Chapter 210. A Little Visitor

My heart was pounding so hard and I could barely breathe. When I turned, I saw exactly who I expected to see. It was Darco. He was dressed in a suit and had a glass of liquor in his hand. It was brown and he swirled it gently as he stared at me. 

“Hello, Rue…” He smirked. 

I could feel a chill run down my spine. I stood there, frozen and not even knowing what to say or what to do. But I managed to get a few words out of my mouth, and they were, “I’m sorry.” 

He scoffed before taking a sip of his drink. “Why are you apologizing?” He rolled his eyes playfully and was being so calm and collected but I knew, I just knew that there was rage underneath all of that. 

I knew that he was not happy with me. I knew that he was pissed that I had left him like that after we had almost been intimate together. I knew that he was pissed that I had lied to him.
