Chapter 241. The Thumb Drive 3

The screen flickered for a moment before the video began to play. My stomach twisted as I saw the view of the elders’ chambers, inside of it. Everything that had happened that day played out before my eyes and I watched without fast-forwarding any parts. 

The part that I had to look away from was when chaos had erupted and Zach and the others had left, leaving me with a few people, Storm, and the elders; the part where the alpha’s brother had his hands tight around my neck, squeezing the life out of me slowly. 

It was a horrific scene, and even though it was me that it had happened to, I still could not watch that part. 

I closed my eyes and turned my head away from the screen, my chest heaving as the memories threatened to pull me under. My throat ached as if reliving the sensation of Storm’s grip. The raw fear, the helplessness, and the pleading—it was all still too fresh, even now.
