Chapter 293. Stubbornness

This was going to be much harder than I expected. It was crazy and complicated because I understood both sides and I wished that I could just pick one but I felt like I could not. 

I sighed, running my hand through my hair. “Zach, please…” 

“Oh, how the tables have turned. Now, you’re the one begging me,” The Alpha said coldly, and then walked past me, leaving me standing there as he left the house, making sure to slam the door on his way out. 

I released a shaky breath, feeling a headache coming on. I looked up at Mark and the guy pressed his lips together for a second or two before he said, “I will talk to him, okay? You’re right, this isn’t necessary. The last war did so much damage that everyone is still healing from, I don’t think we’re ready for another one.” 

I nodded. “Thank you, Mark.” 

He flashed me a small smile and then adjusted his suit before walking away, leaving me in the mansion as he walked out the door. I stood there
