Chapter 82. Me and My Lies

“I’m not weak,” I said to myself as tears filled my eyes but I did not cry. I was about to say it again but Aria shoved me so hard again that I fell. The moment that I hit the ground, I was pulled out of the spirit world and back into reality. 

I woke up to pain all over my body. Gabriel was standing there, breathing heavily as he eyed me. From the looks of things, even while I had been blacked out, he had still been hitting me. 

He was covered in sweat and I was in so much pain that I wished that I would have stayed in the spirit world. 

“Look who’s awake,” He said, chuckling as he glanced at his friends. The other elders laughed but I could tell that they felt like he was going way too far now. 

“Gabriel, my guy, I think it’s enough for one day. Darco will kill us if she dies. She’s had enough,” One of them said softly, intending not to be heard by me but I heard him clearly.
