Chapter 19. A Date
"Kay—" Kavinsky tried to call her again, but Vanessa had had enough of everything. She spoke up immediately.
"Let her go, Kavinsky. She does not want to go with us. What's with you and this girl, do you like her?" The last sentence came out of Vanessa's mouth through gritted teeth.
Kavinsky was stunned at what she said and did not know how to reply.
"What nonsense are you spilling?" he said, rolling his eyes at her before driving away.
Kaylee watched his car leave and heaved a huge sigh as she plugged in her earphones, waiting for the bus to arrive.
Kavinsky got home and walked to his room immediately. He got there and threw his bag angrily onto the bed.
