Chapter 44. Her Lips

"I won!", she said as she took her seat on the couch.

"Wow!", she could not help but say in surprise as she stared at the television screen.

"Yeah yeah. Whatever", Kavinsky muttered and rolled his eyes. 

Kaylee's phone started ringing and she took out of the back pocket of her pants quickly.

She checked the screen and saw that it was her father.

She picked it up and Kavinsky heard her say 'Okay' and turned to face her.

She brought her phone down from her ears and looked at him with a serious face. All the happiness in her eyes had suddenly vanished. Weird...

"Yeah?", he asked when she was not talking 

"I have to go home. Dad is back early today", she replied and stood up from the couch

"Oh, okay", Kavinsky said as well and got up from the rug he was sitting on with Kaylee before.

"I will see you out", he said with a smile.

"Okay, thanks", she said and moved quickly towards the door.

"Bye", he said and
