Chapter 13
Winter’s POV
“....then he confirmed I was his daughter when he saw the birthmark I had on my back,” then I chuckled emptily, “I didn’t even know I had a birthmark.” My eyes drifted to the fire in between us, they way the embers cackled and flew around in the flames, only to disappear into an unknown.
“I started living as the alpha’s daughter from then on until when your people suddenly came and destroyed everything. I’m sure you know the entire story,” I said, looking in his direction.
H picked up the jug of water next to him and swigged down a few gulps.
The cave had become more comfortable to live in, thanks to Lucas, who had made it so. There was now a mattress for me to lay my head on and enough food to eat. I was completely grateful for that.
