It felt strange to Leo—forcing himself to be interested in Isabella, pushing himself to talk to her. It was still the night of the dinner with her family. And something nudged him forward—assuring him that he was doing the right thing by seeking to fulfill his mother’s last wish.
“You seem so happy to be home,” she said.
He was. He believed that home was always where he was meant to be.
“So, how was Italy?” she said.
“Good. I gained more knowledge about the wine industry and was privileged to gain a lot of experience.”
