Chapter 46
Leo strapped his watch on his wrist and stared at the mirror with glazed eyes. His black suit perfectly clung to his body, and his brown hair was neatly parted to the back. Today was his engagement party, and he wasn't a tad bit excited about it. He'd purchased a diamond ring a few days ago and had, over lunch, reluctantly asked Isabella to marry him officially.
He sprayed some perfume on his suit and trailed out of his room. It felt like there was a weight on his shoulder or, rather, a burden in his heart. Or maybe marrying Isabella felt like a huge load dumped atop his shoulders. But it was too late for regrets now. He had made the decision to return to Napa and marry her. So, he had to stick to it.
He took the stairs to the sitting room. She had suggested that the engagement party be hosted in the mansion. A lavish floral arrangement of white and gold decor was sprinkled around the large sitting room. The crystal chandeliers glittered. It was about six pm. G
