Chapter 83. Accident

He knew Charles had been seeing Mario, but he didn’t know why. Charles was a terrible liar; he always knew when he was lying, so he lied that he was under the weather one random day. Lucien told him to take the day off. Then, he followed him to where Mario picked him up.

Since that day, he’s had someone watch them both and found out they’ve been meeting twice a week or so, either at dinner or lunch, or at Mario’s office.

He planned to ask him after his honeymoon with Anna when he returned to work, but that didn’t seem like it was going to happen. He was going to ask Mario everything he wanted to ask Charles.

He splashed cold water over his face after washing his hands and looked up at the mirror hanging right over the sink. There was only one problem. He either had to lie to Anna and work later today by questioning Mario about the missing funds
