Chapter 16. Elsewhere

[At Chemora. Present day]

“You say you could detect some of them? Is that correct?” Kilian asked, his purple eyes sparkling with excitement.

He was floating in a pitch black, backdrop but there was a cable tied firmly at his waist. Apparently, it was there to hold him back. It was there so he would not float away.

He was talking with a voice. The voice came to him very feeble and he could not see the face of the speaker.

“Not some, only one. I could detect some energy blasts. Very soft and momentary. I think his powers are just awakening. It’s at the earliest stage. The energy blasts are involuntary and the frequency is also unpredictable. We haven’t been able to locate him yet but we are all working at that. I am hoping we will be able to send you a positive report soon.” The voice concluded.

“You say it’s a he, not a she. Are you certain?” Kilian’s voice sounded a little disappointed.

“Very certain Lord Kilian. I would not report a mistake.”
