Chapter 59. Behavior

“Mira, are you alright?” Braze had been staring at Mira, frozen but with his full attention, in case she reacted adversely to the medication. So far, she just stared back at him without blinking for a couple of minutes straight. Finally, she let out some consecutive hiccups, followed by a giddy smile.

Braze quickly reacted as she tried to suddenly get up. She was about to fall face down but he supported her with his back.

“You gained a lot of weight Braze… he… he!” she slapped his butt and poked him from either side at his waist, tickling him. “You became so chubby. I don’t remember you being so fat. What have you been eating boy?” She laughed aloud at her own joke, leaving Braze flustered.

Mira sprang forward like a leopard. She was gone in the blink of an eye.

“Mira!” Braze yelled and tried following after her, but even with his animal instincts, it was hard catching up with her.
