Chapter 18. Din's Proposition
Din lowered his gaze to the woman he claimed to despise. Unlike the silver dress, she wore at the club in Vegas, the pink sweater she wore covered all of her figures. It was the first time he saw her with her hair down. He'd always seen her with her hair in a ponytail or a bun, and that's how he saw her in pictures and Vegas.
He thought she was dashing and lovely. He was the kind of man that all the ladies desired, but Jessie Walker, no, Jessie Cooper, was making it difficult for him.
He took a step towards her. "Why shouldn't I?" With a sweet voice, he inquired. They were both close enough. Her hair was stroked by his nose. He could only smell banana-flavored shampoo.
Half of him wanted to take her hand and pin her to the door so he could kiss her once more. He'd been missing the way she tasted. The other half despised her. At least, that's what he thought.
