Jessie was a brave girl, and she wouldn't die. Bev knew something serious was going on because James had instructed her to call her parents, but she was too afraid to inquire as to why Din and Jessie had ended up in the hospital.

James made a complete 180-degree turn and headed straight for the hospital. Sierra, Abby, and their grandfather had driven to the hospital in a different vehicle and were early.
