Chapter 36

Ezra gradually lowered Celine’s head after she gave her a medication injection. She was fortunate that the poison she breathed in wasn’t too deadly. The enemy is merely exploiting Leon’s wife to frighten him.

After some time, Celine started to feel better.

The servants were happy to see Celine opening her eyes.

“Please give me some water,” Ezra pleaded with a servant. It immediately followed and handed a glass of water to Ezra.

“Thank you,” and then she turned her attention to Celine. “Madam, get up and drink water right away so that the poison may be fully flushed out of your body,” she said.

“Leon... where is Leon?” Celine immediately asked.

“He’s fixing the mess with the demon who poisoned you.”

“What? Where is he?” Celine asked worriedly.

“Drink some water first, Madam; he’ll be back later.”

Celine is still frail and has trouble breathing. She took the water that Ezra offered her.

“Ezra, I’m still dizzy,” she says.
