Chapter 27. Meeting With the Board Of Directors

“Get in here!” Xander ordered someone with the phone on his table, no, I mean my table. He looked different in the office as he ordered everyone sternly, making his appearance firm and focused. 

“This is my office now, you should let me make the calls.” I told him firmly, going around to sit on my seat behind the table.  

“Easy, tiger!

I’m just trying to get you settled in nicely. I know you are eager and prepared for what lies ahead, but I need you prepped for the board meeting. The board of directors won't go easy on you, especially your father.” He let out firmly. I gulped down dryly at the mention of my father. He has never given me the chance to work here and I’m wondering if he would accept my decision to be here or fight against it.
