Chapter 129. Catch Me If You Can

I wave goodbye to Bailey and to tall, dark and handsome, whose supposedly named Alex and rush up the staircase of the pack house. When I finally enter my bedroom, I see both mine and Jaxon’s suitcases sitting nestled on the side of the bed but no sign of Jaxon anywhere. My wolf isn’t even picking up his scent nearby. I walk into the closet, throwing my clothes off my body and into the hamper before reaching out for a pair of black bike shorts and a matching black and white sports bra. It doesn’t take long for me to change into them and throw my hair up into a high ponytail before making my way down the pack house hall towards Sophia’s room. I hadn’t seen her since I woke up which also feels strange to me considering I had fallen asleep in the vehicle with her beside me.

I knock against the heavy door of her bedroom, but no one answers. I knock harder this time, pressing my ear against the door and still, to no avail, hear nothing on the other side. I g
