Chapter 135. The Queen Makes a Move

I can sense Beta Don’s irritation hitting me in violent waves as he moves towards Adeline and I. He’s nervous. He’s agitated. I know Don well enough to know he’s barely holding it together. He moves towards Adeline, taking in a whiff of her scent and suddenly, he’s gleaming hopeful for a potential heir for Midnight Moon Pack. My mate potentially carrying my heir never crossed my mind, I was sorting through my own nerves that something was seriously wrong with Adeline. She consumes me with just one glance. I would go to the end of the world to ensure her happiness.

When her heart starts to bang inside of her chest, I’m nearly positive that the entire pack can hear her nerves out on full display. I pull her into me, feeling her small body tremble against my chest. “Shh, whatever it is. We’ll pull through together, remember?”, I whisper and I can feel her heart start to slow its pace, returning to its usual rhythm. A part of me is worried, is Adeline
