Chapter 201
Nathan's POV
He’s slumped in the booth, eyes half-closed, mumbling something about Harper’s legs and a really good cheeseburger. I laugh under my breath, hook my arm around him, and practically drag his dead weight toward the door. Echo claps him on the back, nearly knocking us both over.
“You good to get him home?” he calls.
“Define good,” I mutter, but I nod anyway and he grins before heading back inside.
Getting Mason into the car is a feat of its own. He mumbles protests like he’s being wrongfully evicted, but eventually he collapses into the back seat like he belongs there, arms sprawled over his head. I shut the door, start the engine, and pull onto the road, keeping one eye on him through the rearview mirror. He’s already snoring.
