Chapter 38
Nathan's POV
I close my eyes, allowing myself one moment—just one—to imagine keeping her like this permanently, before gently shutting that thought away.
Tomorrow will bring its own answers.
Tonight, she’s safe in my arms. For now, that’s enough.
“Is she okay?” Theo asks quietly, concern evident in his voice as his eyes linger intently on Harper’s limp form curled against my chest.
I nod softly, tightening my hold on her slightly. “Yeah, she’s fully submerged in her subspace. We’ll need to watch her carefully when she wakes; she might drop pretty hard. Plenty of aftercare is going to be essential tonight.”
Carefully, I reach over, gently pulling the soft, heavy blanket across her trembling form, making sure she’s fully covered and warm. Harper murmurs
