Chapter 87
Harper's POV
After breakfast, I make my way upstairs to get dressed, deciding on a simple dress, nothing dramatic, just something soft and black that falls mid-thigh and hugs enough to feel feminine but not overdone. It feels strange to be preparing for a day with all three of them, especially in a work setting. I don’t know what exactly I expect, but I know I’m curious enough not to want to stay behind.
When I come back down, Nathan’s already pulling keys from a bowl near the door while Mason tosses a jacket over his shoulder. Theo, of course, stands beside his bike in the driveway, all leather and danger with that usual smirk that says yes, I’m going to do something reckless today.
He doesn’t even look like he belongs to the same world as the other two, and yet somehow, they all fit together seamlessly.
