Mason’s POV
We’ve managed to get through a lot in the last few hours. Not everything, but enough that the stack of papers has begun to shrink and the room no longer feels quite so suffocating. It’s been about three hours.
Theo, on the other hand, has tried to leave at least fifteen times. It’s honestly impressive how easily he gets distracted, and at this point, it’s more amusing than frustrating. He sighs, fidgets, and occasionally stares at Harper like she’s the only thing tethering him to sanity.
But now, it’s time to shift the conversation. There’s something I planned to bring up anyway, and with Harper here, her insight might actually be helpful. She may have a fresher perspective, one not shaped by years of policy and platform management.
