Chapter 139
Valerie Will POV
When I pulled up to my mother’s house, she came outside to meet me at the door. “You didn’t tell me that you were on your way.” She said as she hugged me.
“I didn’t think about it,” I said, scratching my head. “I got you some stuff, they’re in the trunk of the car,” I added as we both walked into the house.
“The house help is going to get them before you leave.”
As we walked into the living room, I didn’t see any sign of Liam. “Is he sleeping?” I asked.
She nodded. “Yes.”
That was perfect because I had a lot to discuss with my mother. “You can’t believe what just happened.” I started as I sat down on the couch.
Her interest was piqued. “What happened?”
“When last did you hear from Jessica?”
She shrugged. “I don’t know. A few months ago.”
I rolled my eyes. “She dropped Noah off at Patrick’s house and left without saying a word. The boy stood there for who knows how long before a guard found him.”
