Valerie Will POV

“I don’t think you should talk to Patrick about taking Noah. At least, not yet.” I said to my mom as we drove back to the house.

Her face twisted. “Why?”

“I don’t want him to feel like you want to snatch the boy away from him. Just wait for a while.” I replied, letting out a deep exhale.

“Alright.”

As we got back to the house, Liam ran over to meet Noah because he already knew he was at the house. I couldn’t even answer his numerous questions he had about Noah’s previous whereabouts.

Either way, Liam was really happy to see Noah.

But as soon as my mom and I stepped foot in the dining room, Patrick’s eyes darkened. He stood up immediately and accused me of bringing my mother to take Noah away from him.

But that wasn’t the case.

She just wanted to see her grandson and Patrick was making an unnecessary scene out of it. Why was he so defensive?
