Patrick Banks POV

As I drove away, my phone buzzed with texts and calls.

But I ignored them.

I didn’t care to hear what anybody had to say.

After a short drive, I pulled up the gate. But I paused for a moment and turned off the engine. Did I really want to spend the night under the same roof with Valerie?

She would want to have a conversation with me and I wasn’t ready for that. I was tired of her lies and disrespect. I just wanted a break from everything.

I shouldn’t have gone to that stupid event!

Now I would be trending for all the bad reasons!

I felt good about punching him, but I felt bad about myself for not being able to control my emotions. The whole world would know that I was insecure.

I messed up.

But how could they do that to me?

And the worst part was that he still had the guts to smile at me like everything was normal. Maybe Valerie didn’t tell him that I had already caught them.
