As I stood outside the door, a deep sigh escaped my lips. I had been trying to control my emotions even though I felt like punching something.

Valerie was still in contact with Damien.

But Jordan told me that their talk went well.

I just couldn’t understand the woman.

What did she want?

I took a deep breath, then another one, and another one.

After a while, I pulled out my phone from my pocket and called Jordan. I just wanted to talk to someone and he was the only one I could call.

Luckily enough, he answered on the first ring.

“Patrick, what’s going on?” It was still early but his voice was sharp. “Good morning.” He added.

“Why aren’t you sleeping?”

“Nothing. I just tend to wake up early these days.”

“Good, good,” I replied, licking my lower lip. “I have a problem,” I said, rubbing my temple in slow circles.
